Amy J. Tindell, Ph.D.

Amy is an associate at Bromberg and Sunstein and a member of the firm’s IP litigation and patent prosecution practice groups.  Before law school, Amy acquired five years of research experience in the fields of biopsychology and neuroscience to earn her Ph.D., and that perspective informs her legal practice.

Experience

• Amy has developed litigation strategy for clients involved in patent disputes concerning a range of technologies, including pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, sports equipment, musical instruments, and computer security.
• Amy has advised clients on patent portfolio development.
• Amy has advised clients in trademark protection and unfair competition matters.
• During law school, Amy served as a legal intern for Magistrate Judge Joyce Alexander in the District of Massachusetts.  Amy was elected president of the Intellectual Property and Technology Forum Journal at Boston College Law School.
• During graduate school, Amy’s neuroscience research was directed to brain circuits mediating reward and addiction.

Professional and Community Involvement

• Member of the Boston Bar Association, Massachusetts Bar Association, Boston Patent Law Association, Women’s Bar Association, and American Intellectual Property Law Association.
• Amy participates in the Citizen Schools program to teach writing to 8th graders.

• In graduate school, Amy was the recipient of a National Science Foundation Fellowship and a University of Michigan Rackham Graduate Fellowship.
• Graduated with High Honors from Dartmouth College.
