Nicole Rizzo Smith

Nicole is a litigation associate and concentrates on complex intellectual property and business litigation. Nicole's litigation experience includes enforcing patents in the telecommunications field and defending a leading pharmaceutical company against allegations of patent infringement. Nicole also has experience in all aspects of trademark prosecution and enforcement, and regularly provides trademark advice to major pharmaceutical companies, colleges and universities, technology companies, governmental entities, and other clients in a wide variety of industries. Previously, Nicole was a litigation associate at a major Boston law firm, where her practice included complex business and securities litigation. Prior to practicing law, Nicole worked as a political consultant and she is still actively involved in politics.

• Member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, Boston Bar Association, American Bar Association, Women’s Bar Association, and Boston Patent Law Association.
• Coordinates the firms involvement in the Citizen Schools 8th Grade Academy tutoring program.
• Co-Author of practice guide "Protecting and Enforcing Copyright" (MCLE, Inc., 3rd Edition).
