Alexander J. Smolenski, Jr.

Alex focuses his practice primarily in patent prosecution matters, product clearance, and patent portfolio development.  He counsels clients in developing a comprehensive IP strategy including identification and protection of intellectual property, efficiently prosecuting patents to issuance.

Experience

• Prepares and prosecutes U.S. and foreign patent applications in a wide variety of electrical, computer, medical, and Internet-related technologies. These technologies have included semiconductor devices, analog and digital circuit design, digital signal processing, microelectromechanical systems (MEMS), medical implants, information systems, data storage devices, computer graphic systems, and telecommunications.
• Develops intellectual property portfolios in both the United States and abroad.
• Prior to his career as an attorney, worked in the defense industry as an electronics engineer and environmental liaison.
